Job Description
CEN Resources are currently working in partnership with a well known engineering business who are extremely successful within within the Power sector. Our client delivers power engineering solutions across various projects providing services such as T&D, HV substation design, Protection & Control, HVDC, interconnectors and power systems.
Due to growth, our client is looking to recruit a Senior Protection & Control Engineer for UK operations. having various offices across the UK, they are happy for the successful individual to be based in any UK location that enables them to work in a hybrid capacity. The successful applicant should have experience with providing design, calculations, reports & drawings of high voltage projects from 11kV – 400kV. This will cover the production of single line diagrams, key line diagrams, wiring diagrams, technical specifications and other design deliverables detailed below. Responsibilities
- Responsible for the design of protection systems for voltages up to 400 kv
- Develop scope of documentation and Main Connections & Protection Diagrams
- Experience developing single line diagrams and key line diagrams
- Experience developing equipment specifications
Experience needed
- Proven capability with the design or application of power system protection.
- Experience in the preparing detailed electrical diagrams for substation P&C.
- Preparation of P&C design deliverables, feasibility studies, reports and cost estimating.
- Experience of working on National Grid projects would be advantageous.
